Our Story

Aislings Artisan Bakery is a small traditional family bakery located in Headford Co. Galway.

It supplies the top supermarkets in Galway and Mayo including Joyce’s, Supervalu’s and Dunne’s with a range of handcrafted artisan breads and confectionary daily.

The bakery is famous in the area for its handcrafted round brown soda bread which is enjoyed by all ages from school children in their lunchboxes to hardworking farmers.

It has traveled with its loyal fans as far as field as Australia and America for a taste of home.

Aislings Artisan Bakery was established in 2008. Proprietor of the bakery Aisling studies food science in college and wanted to work from home while raising her growing family.

The bakery started when Aisling had three children. The bakery and the family have grown together (Aisling now has 5 children with another new bun in the oven).

She started out at farmers markets in her home town of Headford selling her home baked goods. Demand grew very quickly and she soon started supplying local shops and moved from her kitchen to a dedicated premises.
